1st ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant (ASEAN CPA) Conference

We are pleased to inform that Indonesia will host the 1st ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant (ASEAN CPA) conference, this event is present by Ministry of Finance's Finance Professions Supervisory Centre - PPPK in collaboration with the Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants (IAI), the Indonesian Institute of Management Accountants (IAMI), the Indonesian Institute of Certified Public Accountant (IAPI), and the ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA). The conference will be hold on 16 - 17 October 2019 at the Hotel Inaya Putri – Nusa Dua Bali.
The 1st ASEAN CPA Conference will take and important role in developing the ASEAN Market for professional accountants as well as to enhance the professionalism of professional accountants within the ASEAN Member State. The conference aims to promote the ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant (ASEAN CPA) as a single identity for professional accountants in the ASEAN region. These are the certified Professional Accountants of the ASEAN Member States (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam). Under the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) for Accountancy Services, ASEAN CPA has a very important task as part of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). ASEAN CPAs are legally permitted to provide accountancy services (except for signing off on the independent auditor's report and providing domestically licensed accountancy services) in ASEAN markets without having to undergo extensive re-trainings or re-qualifications.
All National Professional Accounting Bodies and Professional Regulatory Authorities under the Minister of Finances from the ASEAN member states are expected to support and participate in this conference.
